Gender Options Explained
When I first started making data websites back in 1997, the most common options were monogamous (one on one) and heteronormative (male and female). Sure some websites were same sex, but it wasn't widespread and it was rarely mixed.
The operator of this website firmly believes that trans rights are human rights. But just because a website has options for ethical polyamory (non-cheating relationships of more than 2 people), same sex relationships, or options for trans and non-binary folks, doesn't mean you have to want to be in any of those relationships; just that they too are welcome on the site, and co-exist with you.
People will always have personal preferences, in terms of looks, likes, activities, religion, politics, and even race and gender. We ask that you don't posit those preferences in hateful ways or for goodness sakes sexually explicity ones! Focus on what you are looking for more than what you are NOT looking for.
If seeing the term CIS (in contrast to TRANS) next to male and female, offends you: Why can't it just be male and female? Let it go. Nobody has changed you, you are still you, but you are sharing a space with a wider audience and it helps to keep things clear in as balanced a way as possible.
We limited the avaible options to a core set that allows for flexibility but still searchability, and while you can describe yourself in more details in the ad itself, please keep it upbeat, and while 'all our welcome' on our sites, each site does have specific themes and we do ask you to stick to the spirit of each dating site we run.
